Richard Jarrold began dog training late in life when he was seeking a retirement career. He discovered a latent talent in the ability to communicate with animals and, indeed, write on the subject of canine behaviour. Five years ago he enrolled on his first theory course with the Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE) under the watchful eye of Prof. Peter Neville. This gave him the confidence to enrol in many other courses, culminating in the Canine Behaviour & Management Diploma, where he passed with a distinction.
